Question about new name for Pega version

From 2023, Pega version is called '23, '24, onwards instead of 8.8, 8.9. I guess this number 23 or 24 corresponds to year 2023 or 2024.

Q1: Does that mean, past Minor version equivalent is released per year? Or is this number increase more past Major version level? In other words, '23 and '24 are like 8.9 and 8.10, or are they more close to 9.0 and 10.0?

Q2: Internally Pega’s code is maintained by ruleset anyways like Pega-ProcessCommander:08-09-01, correct? In that case there should be some virtual mapping between new name and old name? (ex. '23 => 08-09-01, '24=> 08-10-01)

Regards,

@CloeW938 the latest Pega Platform patch release calendar can be found here.

We will check internally for more details based on your questions.

@CloeW938 Infinity '23 and '24 correspond to the “old” 8.9 and 8.10, so these are both minor releases.

The RuleSet Version for Infinity '23 is 08.23.00. Patches will be 08.23.01, 08.23.02, etc.
