can someone confirm that ear deployment is still supported on Oracle Weblogic 12.2.1.4 ?
Previously I read in the release notes that only war deployment was supported in Pega 8.7, but now i can’t find anything in the release notes for 8.7 (Pegasystems Documentation).

However I agree that when viewing ‘Keeping Current With Pega → Redeploying the Pega Platform file’ the message is confusing:
Oracle WebLogic Server: Redeploying Pega Platform
Oracle WebLogic Server requires a Deployment Plan for split-schema configurations.
I believe the message is mentioned here: Editing the Oracle WebLogic Server Deployment Plan
Unfortunately that link contains a broken URL for ‘Deprecation of EAR deployments’.
I will check internally if that can get rectified.
thank you Marije, i’ll wait for the confirmation, but i think this clarifies that we need to switch to war deployments if we need to upgrade to Pega 8.7.x
i tried to access to link Deprecation of EAR Deployments in Pega Platform 8.6 and i get “You are not authorized to access this page.” error.

Hi @AndreaG86 I have already reported the broken link of Deprecation of EAR Deployments in Pega Platform 8.6 and hope to have that documentation team fix this soon.

Our documentation team has addressed the confusion in the 8.6 and 8.7 versions of the docs. For 8.8 we will be removing EAR mentions in patch and update content.

No, EAR deployment is not supported from 8.8, not 8.7. Please see below statement from Platform Support Guide.
