My application is running on Pega v8.7.6, we are planning to upgrade to Pega v8.8.3 or Pega v8.8.4.
Could you please help us decide on the Pega version?
Also requesting to confirm, what versions of RedHat, Tomcat, DB2 we should be having when we move to Cloud, we are trying to understand compatibility with Azure.
@ArulDevan yes Arul, we reviewed the support guide.
if we are moving to Pega v8.8, what version of RHEL is good, coz both RHEL v7 and RHEL v8 are support. Similarly for other systems. I am getting confused with selection of n-1 version. Could you please help. Thanks.
For RHEL both v7 and v8 are supported, I would select the most recent build of v8.
For tomcat 9, right now we are using 9.0.88 and we always upgrade to the newest builds of tomcat 9 asap as they are released (after we test the new builds of course)
Java SE 11 & Java SE 17 are supported and we always go with most recent builds of openjdk 11 & 17 asap (after we test the new builds of course)
IBM DB2 for LUW v11.5 is highest version that is supported for 8.8. Also some important info looking forward:
Important IBM DB LUW Notes
Beginning in Pega Platform '23, IBM DB2 for LUW is deprecated. No new client applications should be deployed using IBM DB2 for LUW. In Pega Platform '24.1, IBM DB2 for LUW is no longer available.
Good luck with the upgrade project and post any follow up Q’s here at the Support Center as needed
