Hi Team,

Currently our app is hosted with following versions:

PEGA 8.4.2
IBM AIX 7.1
IBM DB2 10.5
Websphere 9.0.5

We are planning to uplift to following versions. Kindly let us know if these are compatible, especially on the s/390 Chipset.

PEGA 8.8 [or 8.4.2]
IBM AIX 7.3 [or 7.1]
IBM DB2 11.5 on zLinux RHEL8 with add-on S 390 chip set
Websphere 9.0.5

Check with the Platform Support Guide as you plan. Some important notes to highlight for your situation:

  • Beginning in Pega Platform 8.8, the IBM AIX operating system is deprecated. No new client applications should be deployed on IBM AIX.
  • Beginning in Pega Platform 8.8, the IBM z/OS operating system is deprecated. No new client applications should be deployed on IBM z/OS.
  • Beginning in Pega Platform 8.8, all application servers – except Tomcat - will be deprecated.

Also deprecated in Pega Platform 8.8 is IBM DB2 for z/OS v12
