Why The Best Menu May Be No Menu

Remember when every enterprise application looked the same. Navigation on the side or top of the page with simple icons on the menu. By the time you figured out where to click, you’d forgotten what you were trying to accomplish in the first place. This is especially true with applications that you used infrequently.

So I decided to ask a simple question: What if we got rid of all of it?

I built a Pega portal with a conversational AI agent sitting front and center. Need to create a case? Ask. Want to check the status of work? Ask. Looking for your assignments? Ask. The application becomes less like software and more like a personal assitant to help you get your work done.

The really cool part is that the AI isn’t running wild behind the scenes. Every request is still powered by Pega’s workflow engine, business rules, security, and governance. Users get the simplicity of ChatGPT or Claude while organizations get the control of an enterprise platform. Everybody wins.
