I have a create case web embed set up. When the user sends incorrect values to create case I need to throw error message to the user without creating a case. I tried adding error message to the pyWorkPage in create case flow. This works fine in regular portal where it throw error message but in web embed it shows a blank screen instead of error message. Has anyone faced similar issue? I am currently in Pega 24.1 version.
The blank screen occurs because Pega 24.1 Web Embed does not properly display certain errors during case creation. Pega addressed this issue in version 24.2.4 under fix INC-C52811.
The recommended solution is to upgrade to Pega 24.2.4 and use a validation rule to check the input values before completing case creation. Configure the validation rule to add a meaningful error message when invalid data is received. This will prevent the case from being created when validation fails. The updated Web Embed framework handles case creation errors and displays them instead of showing a blank screen. Test the scenario by passing invalid values through Web Embed and verifying that the correct error message appears.
