How can one install Pega products in the Community Edition? Import Wizard seems to have a file size limit not allowing to deploy large archives of prerequisites.

Information of what implementation applications can be built on top of CE is missing from the Community Edition and Trial Software FAQs. . However, as listed in the description of CE in Working with Pega Platform Trial and Community Edition, Community Edition does not allow self-service install of CRM apps. What allows Pega to issue systems to anyone in the community is by keeping the systems and options as simple as possible.
If this POC is part of project work, you could request a Pega Labs instance to be provisioned. Pega labs provides facilities to install previous versions of Infinity and Pega applications. Pega Labs maintains a Community Space (Pega Labs | Pega Community).

@MarijeSchillern Thank you for your prompt response, I was indeed referring to a CRM product like customer service or sales automation to deploy to the community edition for exploration purposes. Their prerequisites contain large archives of about 2 GB, in certain cases even larger in size. I understand from your reply these cannot be imported in the Community Edition, Pega Labs is the way to go. Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction.
