  1. Can we configure External Elastic search without PEGA SRS? If Yes what are the configuration parameters. (Please provide some detail on configurations like what change to make in web user node and search node)

  2. If the answer is no to the above question then → Is PEGA SRS available to download for VM install ? Not the docker version ?

  3. Documentation for installing and configuring external/internal search is inadequate, appreciate if there is a good documentation which can be shared.

you cannot configure External Elasticsearch without Pega SRS. The Search and Reporting Service (SRS) is required to manage communication between your Pega nodes and your preferred Elasticsearch service. SRS can be provisioned using a Pega-provided Docker image.
