How to refresh Data in Explore Data - Insight for new properties

Hi experts! Excited to be here - I am very new to insights and have lots of questions, the most pressing at the moment is the following: When I create new properties, they don’t show up in the insights - explore data section until a lot later - usually a day. Is there a way to refresh the explore data view?

More Details: I noticed that new properties that I add to my app and in turn to the RD that is referenced in the corresponding DP that I use for the insight, only shows up in the Explore Data Page after the nightly restart of the environment. I am not aware of any reload mechanism and also not sure if that can be triggered manually in our env Pega Infinity 23.1.4.

In the docs I read about clear cache - which I couldn’t find - see attachment below. I also tried a synchronize Configure > System > Settings > Search - then Synchronize of all Data Model Elements with no success.

Any help is appreciated!

@datojHi, can you point to docs page asking to clear the cache? Maybe it was meant to ask to clear browser cache?

Nevertheless, I also experienced caching issues. Especially when new field is getting added to data model sometimes it is not immediately visible in authoing.

Until we have it fixed. Relogin into applcation shall solve the problem

@datoj In the App Studio version of Explore Data, there is now (as of '25) a 3 dot menu in the upper right corner that allows the author to clear cache.

Manual steps in prior versions:

  1. right-click Inspect → Application tab → on left side of this tab,
  2. expand Session storage > click on your environment (I’ve only ever seen there be one option)
  3. right-click and Delete any rows where the key starts with your app (i.e. all ‘app/ken-25-app’ ones in this list should get deleted)
  4. manual Refresh of browser tab is needed
