Effect of removal of inactive, blocked Customers on CDH 8.7

Currently working for a client whose CDH 8.7 implementaion has gone live recently. There it is possible that during daily customer ingeston few of the customers may be removed e.g Inactive, Blocked, closed etc.

So we need to know if removal of customers which most certainly will lead to messing up with there existing ongoing customer journeys, but on an overall basis will that impact business overall KPIs, IH reports, orphan IH records, simulations etc.

If yes and if that may impact business in a big way can there be any remediation steps that Pega OOTB provides to resolve it?

Will appreciate if pega CDH SME can get this query answered at the earliest, as client is really keen to know about this for there current live project.

@ABHINANDAN , the only situation you need to worry about is if the customer being removed has an in-flight action with pending followup activities in the action flow. If that’s the case, the in-flight action need to be completed or stoped before the customer can be removed. In an NBA Designer based implementation, it is best practice for actions to be atomic and not have follow-ups in the action flow directly, but rather to allow NBA to re-decision and do followups independently. As such, we this scenario should hopefully be limited and not one you need to worry about.

@Saleem_A : Thanks a lot Saleem, my thoughts are in sync with yours, thanks for confirming the same.
