Does Pega CTI supports physical extension

Hi,

is there any way that pega supports CTI integration with physical ext phone. Currently the integration is there with Jabber/Finesse. Client is also want to if there is feature to get the calls of real ext phone to Pega. we are now in Pega CS 8.7.2 version. it is CS for communications.

I think Pega CTI is integrated with the Middleware systems (Avaya, Genesys, cisco etc). This middleware is the one which connects to the telephony system. Pega only communicates to the middleware to get/share the events. Based on the events pega CTI acts accordingly. It’s impossible not to connect Pega CTI to the telephony system without middleware.
