Customizing the Exported Excel File Name for Pega Insights

We are building Insights for our application, and when exporting an insight to Excel, the downloaded file is automatically named in the format _YYYY_MM_DD_HH-MM-SS.xlsx (for example, D_pyAllWork_2026_05_11_16-15-33.xlsx), which is not very user‑friendly; instead, we would like the exported file to use the Insight name in the filename, such as InsightTitle_YYYY_MM_DD_HH-MM-SS.xlsx, and would like to know if there is a supported way in Pega Constellation to customize or override the default Excel export file name.

No – in Pega Constellation there is currently no supported, out‑of‑the‑box way to customize or override the Excel export file name for Insights.

Thanks for the quick response. It will be hard to convince the business as it looks odd from the end user perspective.
