Configuring Drill-Down Tables for Insight Charts in Constellation

Hi,

I have been searching but could not find any documentation on how to configure the table that appears when clicking an Insight chart in the Constellation UI.

To clarify, suppose I have a chart like the one below:

When I click on the “Draw” 50 percent segment, a table appears, as shown below:

I am able to make some configuration changes in this table. However, once I close the popup, those changes are not retained. Even if I click “Save Insight” afterward, the next time I click a chart segment, the original default table appears instead of my configured version.

My question is: How can I configure this table so that the changes persist?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

@AnB18593 I suspect, based on your tagging of this post, that you are on Pega ‘24.1.1? The scenario you describe is supported in Pega ‘25 - where you will get the option to save your changes, for example grouping, in the drill down modal. See “Enhancements for viewing the underlying records of Insights” at:

I found a solution to this, at least for the goal of adding more columns to this drill-down table. The columns are the primary fields, so you just need to set the columns you want to be displayed as primary fields (see screenshots below).

Great! Thanks for sharing the solution

Hi, thanks for solution. are we able to add other class properties in Drill down table ?

for example, currently for a work class we added Case ID, Loan Number and Borrower Name but we want to add Assigned To property from Assign-worklist & Assign- Workbasket is it possible ? Kindly advise

@VenkateswararaoK I tried a few things but could not achieve what you described, unfortunately. :frowning: As I have observed, a lot of things in Constellation UI only work at the top work level. Anything embedded has issues, at least in my Pega version.

Primary Fields are on the current context for the case/data object. You can not join classes (via Associations) in primary fields.

As @LantzAndreas has stated, '25 gives two enhancements here for drilling / tables on Insights:

  1. Enhancements for viewing the underlying records of Insights
  2. Support for additional details about objects in Insights
