Blueprint AI Assistant Enhancements

Overview
The AI Assistant expands again this release, adding support for nested Embedded Data Objects in the Case Data Model and, for Customer Service Blueprints, guided feature recommendations on the Features tab.
What’s new
- Nested Embedded Data Objects — create and update Embedded Data Objects nested inside other Embedded Data Objects through natural language conversation, modelling complex hierarchical business data (for example, an Audit Metadata object nested inside an Audit Trail Entry object to capture IP address, device used, and action source)
- AI Assistant on the Features tab (Customer Service Blueprints) — the assistant analyses application context and recommends the most relevant pre-configured features to enable or disable, helping teams discover high-value capabilities through a guided conversational experience

Additional Configuration Details for Application Signature Imports

Overview
For applications generated from Application Signature files, Blueprint now surfaces an Additional Configuration tab in the Workflow Details step, bringing imported metadata together in one place so teams can understand Workflow configuration more quickly.

Blueprint Administrative Portal for Organization Controls

Overview
The My Pega portal now includes organization-level Blueprint controls — branding, security, and an organization-wide overview of every Blueprint — giving administrators central governance over how Blueprint is used across the organization.
What’s new
- Organization branding settings configurable directly in the My Pega portal
- Security controls including data residency region and restricted sharing
- Organization-wide Blueprint overview showing name, creation date, creator, and attachment visibility

Enhanced MCP Agent Channel in Live Preview

The MCP Agent channel now lets you expose your Blueprint application as a Model Context Protocol (MCP) service using a name and URL you copy straight into your agent configuration — reducing integration effort and speeding up testing.

Expanded Data and Integrations — Integration Designer

Overview
The Data & Integrations step has been completely redesigned as a full visual designer. Teams can now plan application architecture — including identity, inbound events, data objects, and integration systems — in a single, structured view. Supports manual configuration or AI-powered import from API specs and database schemas.
What’s new
- New three-panel layout: User Identity Management, Application Data (local and external), and Integrations
- Upload an OpenAPI / YAML spec or SQL / DDL file — Blueprint AI analyses it and auto-generates the integration system with all resources and actions
- Drag and drop local Data Objects to the external column to map them to systems of record
- Use “To be determined” when a system isn’t confirmed yet — update later without losing progress
- AI Assistant can map Data Objects to integration resources in plain language
- Fidelity indicators (grey / yellow / green) now appear on Data Objects, showing completeness at a glance
- MCP Service support — configure and describe your MCP Service to expose Case Types as AI-ready services from day one

Integration Designer — Deep Dive
Color Indicators for Design Completeness — Blueprint Levels

Overview
Workflow Steps and Data Objects now display colour-based completeness indicators, giving teams an instant visual signal of where design detail is still missing and where content is ready for handoff.
What’s new
- Every Step and Data Object shows a colour accent on its left edge
- Grey (Level 1) — name only, not yet configured
- Yellow (Level 2) — description added but Route To, Fields, or Business Rules still missing
- Green (Level 3) — all required details captured, ready for import
- Applies to both Workflow Steps and Data Objects in the Data & Integrations step
- The goal: every Step and Data Object should be green before importing the Blueprint

Blueprint Levels — Deep Dive
Reports Tab in Workflow Details

Overview
Blueprint now generates reports for each Case Type, surfacing reporting requirements earlier in the design process. Teams can review, configure, and preview reports in the live preview context — before build begins.
What’s new
- New Reports tab in the Workflow Details step of the Blueprint creation process
- Blueprint automatically generates an initial set of reports per Case Type
- Edit descriptions, change report types, add new reports, or regenerate existing reports as design evolves
- Reports can be previewed in the live preview context, validating outcomes before implementation

Multiple Step types in the Workflow Details step now include expanded configuration options, capturing more realistic run-time behaviour directly in Blueprint and improving design fidelity.

- Wait Step — new step type for time-based or dependency-based pauses in a workflow
- AI Agent Steps — now support field mapping to specify what the agent will produce
- Send Notification Steps — recipient selection now configurable directly in the step

Customer Service Simulation in Live Preview

Overview
The live preview now supports running realistic customer service conversations against your Workflow design, allowing teams to validate process behaviour and rehearse production-like interactions before go-live.
What’s new
- Click Create in the Contact Center channel of the live preview to start a simulation
- A virtual Persona acts as the customer; you act as the representative

SMS Support for Agentic Assignment Processing

Overview
Agentic assignment processing now supports the SMS channel in addition to email, helping workflows continue when users are more responsive on mobile — reducing turnaround time for Assignment completion.
What’s new
- Enable SMS as the channel for agentic Assignment processing on any Assignment Step
- Configure Persona contact settings for SMS alongside email
- The agent proactively sends SMS requests, collects missing information, and continues processing after users respond

The AI Assistant continues to expand — this release adds the ability to edit Primary Stages in the Workflows step, create reports through conversation, and associate Business Rules with Decision Steps directly.

- Create reports — ask the assistant to generate reports for your Workflows on the Reports tab

Enterprise Architecture Visibility in Summary Step

Include a Message When Sharing a Blueprint

When sharing a Blueprint, you can now optionally include a message to give collaborators immediate context before they open it — reducing the need for separate follow-up communication.

Blueprint AI Assistant Enhancements

This update adds live preview theme control, SLA configuration support, and full Assignment routing coverage through conversational interaction.
What’s new
- Apply theme changes in the live preview — describe your organisation’s branding and the assistant maps it to font, colour, corner radius, and spacing automatically; reset to default at any time with a single request (brand colour is retained on reset)
- Support for SLAs — define target and maximum completion times for Assignment Steps, and configure escalation actions (urgency increase, notification, assignment transfer) through conversation

Overview
Blueprint now allows you to create new Case fields directly within Assignment Step configuration — no need to leave the Step to update the Data Model, keeping your design flow uninterrupted.
What’s new
- Create new Case fields directly from within Collect Information or Approve/Reject Step configuration dialog boxes
- New fields are saved to the Case Data Model and immediately available for use in the Step
- The Create Field dialog prompts for a field name, type, and optional description — then returns you to your Step without losing context
- Eliminates the need to context-switch between Step configuration and the Data Model during workflow design

Business Rule Extraction from Uploaded Documents

Blueprint now automatically extracts business rules from uploaded documents, translating written requirements directly into Case logic and helping teams avoid rework while keeping workflows consistent with source requirements.
What’s new
- Blueprint analyses uploaded documents and automatically generates decision tables based on the business rules it detects
- Generated decision tables are associated with the relevant Case Type, and any missing fields required by the decision table are created automatically
- Business rules that apply across all Case Types (for example, a mandatory confirmation email) are applied globally rather than to a single workflow

Refine Your Blueprint Before Download

Blueprint now surfaces best-practice suggestions before you download, helping you address common authoring issues early and improve overall quality before sharing or exporting your design.
What’s new
- Clicking Download Blueprint in the Summary step now triggers a pre-download suggestions dialog
- Suggestions are based on best practices, including unused Data Objects, unreferenced fields, and default routing choices

Automatic Backup Before Blueprint Regeneration

Overview
When regenerating a Blueprint, the system now automatically creates a restorable backup version, preventing data loss and ensuring you can confidently refine and regenerate without risk.
What’s new
- A snapshot of the current Blueprint is automatically saved before regeneration begins
- The version number is incremented on regeneration (e.g. BP-456200 becomes BP-456200-2)
- Reverting to a previously saved state is quick and straightforward

Assignment Routing Options Expanded with User References

Route Assignments to any relevant user reference defined within a Case — in addition to the current user, manager, and Personas — enabling more realistic, business-driven routing scenarios.

Route to a Different Stage by Using a Decision

Overview
Decision outcomes can now move a Case directly to another Stage in the Case Lifecycle, enabling out-of-sequence processing and more expressive, business-aligned workflows.
What’s new
- Decision Steps can now route to any Stage in the Case Lifecycle as an outcome
- Supports revisiting or skipping Stages based on business rules — for example, returning a Case to an earlier intake Stage when new information changes eligibility

Generate Picklists with Pega GenAI

Automatically generate picklist values using AI, based on field context and language — removing the repetitive manual work of entering large sets of options such as product types, statuses, or categories.

- Select the Picklist capture method for a scalar field and click Generate with AI to produce a recommended set of values

User Reference is now supported as a field type for Case and Data Object Data Models, enabling more accurate modelling of relationships between work processes and the people involved.
