A Stream node is the node classification used for the embedded Kafka-based stream service. Pega’s cloud architecture docs describe Stream as a dedicated tier that includes nodes configured to run embedded Kafka using the stream type classification.
For Pega Cloud, the setup is handled by Pega Cloud operations and the deployment templates, not by application developers. The node types are assigned during provisioning, and you can associate them with resources for performance optimization
