Volume Constraints in Infinity '23

Hello,

We have a business requirement to start using Volume Constraints for outbound emails, but are currently using our DDS’es for action state storage as per Pegasystems Documentation, which means that Volume Constraints are not available for use. On this page on limiting action volumes in Infinity '23 (Pegasystems Documentation) it says:

“You might not see the constraint modes when you create volume constraints. This means that Customer Decision Hub is configured to use Decision Data Store for action state storage. The constraint modes are not available in this configuration.”

Does that mean that Volume Constraints will be available in Infinity '23, but we simply cannot switch to a different constrains mode? Or will Constraints still not be available?

Kind regards

Hi @Maarten Pot,

I hope you are doing well.

Yes, Volume Constraints will be available in Infinity '23.

You can go through this links for your understanding:

@Megha007 Thank you, I know that Volume Constraints are available in Infinity. My question is whether the constraints will be available if we use Decision Data Stores for action storage in Infinity. In 8.8, it is apparently not possible to use Volume Constraints if you use DDS’es in this way, and I was curious if this limitation is gone in Infinity.

Kind regards,

Maarten

I will find out which SME could help answer. @AmyRohe perhaps you could provide some insight?

Hi @Maarten Pot

Yes, in Customer Decision Hub '23 Volume Constraints can be used on systems using DDS for Action State storage.

Information about Volume Constraints in '23 is available here: Pegasystems Documentation

Thanks,

Amy Rohe

@MarijeSchillern Would you happen to have any updates?

Hoi @Maarten Pot, not yet but I’m still checking who could answer your question internally.

@AmyRohe Excellent, thank you for confirmation!
