Hi Pega Community,

I’m facing “java.lang.RuntimeException: The document is not open.” exception when using ConcatenateEForms activity to merge multiple PDF’s. The concatenation fails when this exception occurs. Have attached the complete exception in attachments for reference.

Can someone please explain the root cause of this exception and what is the fix.

Got the solution from Pega by raising an Incident: INC-236619

Solution description: Provided local Java change that uses PDFBox instead of iText to handle PDF content

Sorry, I cannot share the java code here.
Please check with the Pega Support team and ask them to provide the fix which has Java code which uses iText instead of PDFBox for ConcatenateEForms activity.
You can also refer the incident number INC-236619 to them for providing the solution.
