Some questions on CSA Exam

Hi all,

I’m planning to take the verification exam for CSA after I finish the online courses on Pega Academy, and I have a few questions.

  1. Does answering incorrectly result in negative scoring?

  2. Does each question on the exam have the same weight?

  3. I’m planning to take the exam in my home, however my desktop computer does not have webcams installed so I will be using my laptop, however I only have a single desk so my desktop monitor will be directly in front of me while I take the exam. If I shut down my desktop computer and make sure that the monitor is off the whole way it’ll be fine for the exam environment, right?

  1. No there is no negative scoring.

  2. No question can have different weights as well I guess.

  3. It should be fine I guess unless the invigilator is fine with that. Before the test he will ask you to show the room where you are attempting the test.

  2. Questions have different weights, multiple answers select traditionally have more weight than single answer select. There are also few research questions which does not impact the scores in anyway even if you get it right or wrong, but you won’t know which are those.

  3. The invigilator will ask you to move your laptop around the room to scan it. It depends on the person concerned, if he/she’s fine by it then you should be good. As a safety measure you can detach the monitor and keep in a separate room for the duration of the exam.
