"Preview my app" button is not visible on Blueprint

Hi Team,

I am creating the Blueprint and would like to preview my app the way is is showcased in Pega Academy (Generating a Blueprint | Pega Academy). However, “Preview my app” button is not visible for me.

According to the Pega Academy materials you referenced, the “Preview my app” button should be located toward the bottom of the Blueprint window when you’re editing Case Types, Lifecycles, the Data Model, and Personas. This button allows you to see real-time updates of your Blueprint in various preview profiles (Desktop, Mobile, Web Self Service, Contact Center, and DxAPI).

Based on my research, here are a few reasons why you might not be seeing this button:

  1. Stage in the Blueprint process: The preview functionality is only available when you’re actively configuring a Blueprint, specifically when editing Case Types, Lifecycles, the Data Model, and Personas. Make sure you’ve completed the initial setup steps and are in one of these configuration sections.
  2. Pega Cloud enablement: The preview feature requires that you’re enabled on Pega Cloud. If you’re not seeing the button, it might be because your account doesn’t have the necessary cloud access.
  3. Permissions or configurations: You might need specific permissions or configurations set up in Admin Studio to access this feature.

Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:

  1. Make sure you’ve progressed through the Blueprint creation process to the point where you’re editing Case Types, Lifecycles, Data Model, or Personas.
  2. Check if you’re using the latest version of Blueprint by refreshing your browser or logging out and back in.
  3. Try accessing Blueprint from a different browser to rule out any browser-specific issues.
  4. If you’re using the mobile app version, note that it uses a “Preview App” button instead, which provides similar functionality.

@IrynaL62 The option for “Preview my App” has been moved to the Personas and Summary Steps.

The “Preview my App” button becomes available after adding personas. The option has been moved to the Personas and Summary steps.
