PegaApp and PegaAppFin Ruleset is not part of PFFS strategic application stack . Which ruleset(s) in latest version of PFFS application, contain the rules from these two rulesets ?

Client has recently upgraded to PFFS 23 version and was had PegaApp and PegaAppFin in their ruleset stack .Is it safe to remove the rulesets from the stack ?

@salub would you be able to provide a response?

Hi @duttr - Can you please share the list of apps that are installed on your environment ? May be share the snapshot of Data-Admin-Product-Framework instances or Rule-Application Instances so as we can confirm which of these apps have installed the RS. PegaApp and PegaAppFin are shipped as part of Pega Smart Investigate, Pega Customer Service, or may be other apps.

Pega Smart Dispute or PFFS doesn’t have PegaApp and PegaAppFin rulesets in the stack.

Hope this information helps.

Thanks,

@kumas10 Due to security restriction on client network , we are unable to share the screenshot of the application stack. We are using strategic applications PFFS 8 and Smart Dispute for Issuers’24 . This is an upgrade project and the application was initially built on Pega 5.x and then upgraded twice so far (major version upgrade- to 6.x and 7.2.2) .We are currently upgrading the application to Infinity 24 and noticed these two rulesets (PegaApp and PegaAppFin) in the application stack . Traditionally client team has not been following the Pega recommended application structure (stack) and have added pega rulesets in their framework application layer as deemed necessary.

For the current upgrade , we want to remove these two rulesets but unsure why those were added in the stack and if removing them will have any impact in the current application.

Thanks,

Rima

Understood @duttr. If the implementation has been coming from 5.x , these are safe to be removed from Pega SD stack.

For confirmation or understand the app and ruleset stack, You can refer to the documentation mentioned here Pegasystems Documentation

If you have further queries, I would recommend to open an INC with Pega Smart Dispute product and we will be happy to help you over call.

Thanks,
