We are running Pega Platform 8.23.5 and are looking at standing up a new Pega Synchronization server on R25, but want to be sure our Cloud version is compatible with the R25 Sync Server before we commit. We are planning upgrading our automations form 22.1 to R25 in 2026.
The synchronization server is a separate component that doesn’t communicate with Platform. You are safe to upgrade Sync Server to a version that supports Pega Robot Runtime for versions 25.1.1 and higher.
In combination, you’ll also need to upgrade the client machines to Pega Synchronization Engine 3.1.33 (the current latest version as of today).
