Pega Smart Claims Engine : Support for codes / procedures in Japanese Language

Hi All,

Few questions on Pega Smart Claims Engine framework:

  1. My understanding is that Smart Claims Engine comes with built in support for ICD 10 . Please confirm.

  2. In Smart Claims Engine - Is it possible to maintain ICD 10 codes and descriptions for procedure, diagnosis in Japanese language? (This is because the claim input might be received in Japanese). Does Pega provide OOTB support for Japanese language wrt this OR is there a workaround for such a situation.

Please suggest.

Thanks,

Srimayee

  1. Yes, Pega Smart Claims Engine does come with built-in support for ICD 10.
  2. Pega Smart Claims Engine is designed to be highly configurable and adaptable to various business needs. While it does not provide out-of-the-box support for maintaining ICD 10 codes and descriptions in Japanese, it is possible to configure the system to support this requirement. You would need to create a custom data type or table to store the ICD 10 codes and descriptions in Japanese, and then configure the system to use this data when processing claims. Please note that this would require some customization and is not a standard feature of the product.
