Hi,
I want to use the Adaptive model for the treatments(offers) presented in the campaign. The treatments(offers) are reflected in the model, but I do not receive a response when I run the campaign. Can I get information about how the adaptive model is used in the strategy, if anyone has used it before?
@Priyanka Boga Hello, can you help me,please?
@champ is this something you could help with?

Below an answer from a GenAI-powered tool. All generated answers require validation against the provided references.
Adaptive models in Pega are used to predict customer behavior by capturing and analyzing customer responses in real time. They are typically used in a decision strategy that contains an Adaptive Model component. For each proposition referenced in the strategy, the system creates one adaptive model.
In your case, if you’re not receiving a response when running the campaign, it could be due to a few reasons:
- The adaptive models might not be correctly configured to capture negative responses. This was the issue in reference 1, where the solution was to change a Dynamic System Setting (DSS) to adjust the time the Adaptive Models wait for a response.
- The adaptive models might not be correctly trained. As per reference 2, you can train your adaptive models with historical or sample customer responses to improve their accuracy.
- The adaptive models might not be correctly created. As per reference 3, you need to correctly set up the positive and negative outcomes, choose the main priority of the model, and add a list of candidate predictors.
- There might be technical issues preventing the adaptive models from capturing responses. As per reference 10, you can troubleshoot this by checking the number of updated models when you click “Show last responses” on the Model Management landing page.
Remember to monitor your adaptive models regularly to ensure their accuracy and performance, as suggested in reference 6

Adaptive Decision Manager does not capture responses for adaptive models
Hi @AlperKaanY17044661,
There is a two step process for using and training adaptive models:
- in the arbitration phase you use the adaptive model and execute it on a treatment. The output of the model can then be used to select the best offer
- to train the model a response needs to be received (either positive or negative) and this needs to be associated with the decision (at 1) and logged with the adaptive service for training
Have you gone through any of the learning resources in Pega Academy, for example this one might help to better understand how adaptive models should be setup.
Hope this helps, otherwise please provide some more information about your setup and what you are trying to achieve exactly and we will try to help you more directly.
