PDC eventviewer data export

Hello,

By default PDC retains the event viewer data from last 14 days.

Our application monitoring team has a requirement to retain the data for longer period and verify the system performance of last 6 months.

  1. Could anyone please let us know how we can increase the PDC event viewer data retention period?

  2. Do we have architecture to export the PDC event data in bulk to external data store, where we can store the data and perform data analysis?

Note: currently we are manually exporting the PDC events using export as csv and storing it on external data store for analysis.

Thanks,

Anup

  1. PDC is designed to help identify and resolve current and recent issues, and by default, it retains alerts, exceptions, and data derived from alerts & exceptions for 14 days. There are no configuration options in PDC as shipped to update data retention. Any change would require customizing rules. You may want to approach your Pega Account Executive for further assistance.
  2. As for exporting PDC event data in bulk to an external data store, PDC does not currently support this feature. The manual export to CSV is the available method for exporting data from PDC for external analysis.
