Need Suggestions on Upgrade Strategy for Pega SPM

Client has application is Pega 6.1 Sp 2 which they wish to migrate to 8.7

Application is built on framework Pega SPM 7.5.61 and Pega HC 7.5.61.

Can you please direct me to the path of Pega SPM upgrade to 8.7 - What is the Framework equivalent in 8.7? What hops might be needed for this and any documentation/guide?

@mitrarii the pega versions you are referencing are very old .

I’m unable to find SPM 7.5 - are you referencing Group Sales Process Manager (Healthcare “Sales Process Manager” Solution Framework) or Customer Process Manager for Healthcare Version 7.5?

Either way SFA would appear to be the equivalent. Have a look at the Pega Sales Automation Upgrade Checker and Pega Sales Automation for Healthcare Product Overview and Pega Sales Automation for Statutory Healthcare Hotfixes

As the upgrade path you will need to undertake is undocumented, your request falls under the Professional Service umbrella. Our upgrade team would need to evaluate upgrade effort based on complexity. Based on the framework you are using in 6.x these appear to be sunset ones which will entail additional effort

Thanks for looking into this.

  1. the version i mentioned is the internal application version, my bad. Our understanding is that this is the Pega Sales Process Manager_v07.05.61 built on Pega 6.1 SP2 which was later replaced in Pega 7 as SA which then was incorporated as CRM/SA in 8.7? In which case, my question would be can we move from Pega SPM in 6x directly to Pega CRM/SA in 8.7 or do we first have to upgrade to Pega SA-HC in v7 and then to Pega CRM/SA in v8.7?
  2. I did have a look with the SA upgrade checker in market place but the compatible version has been listed as Pega Sales Automation, Pega Platform, 8.1, 8.2, 8.3, 8.4, 8.6, 8.7where as our application built on Pega SPM and Pega Platform 6.1 SP2, so it may not work?
  3. We got only one reference for SPM in below query but the document links provided are not working https://support.pega.com/question/query-regarding-spm-compatible-framework-pega-722
