Multiselectlist Items are not getting read out by Screenreader after input

Hello all,

we have a Scenario where the Screenreader does not read out the values inside of a Multiselectlist after deselecting it and then selecting it again.

We are using the NVDA Screenreader for Windows.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. create a Multiselectlist
  2. Add one or more Items to the List
  3. Tab out of the List - with either Tab or Enter
  4. Now focus the List again - with Shift + Tab for example

Test A, Test B, Test C does not get read by the Screenreader.

We appreciate your feedback. We are in the process of updating our Multi-select component to align more closely with WCAG standards in 25.1. Currently, the user can navigate to selected items in the combobox using the arrow keys. Therefore, in the interim you could try adding instructions with an info icon that includes “Use right/left arrow keys to navigate to selected items”.
