We have requirement to embed Pega in client’s existing native app . Pega Mobile Mash up seems to be preferred method but do we have offline capability enabled for Pega Mobile mash up? As I couldn’t find any article for the same.
For Pega Mobile Mash up you have to provide offline support in your application on your own. Pega Offline capabilities are available in Pega Mobile Client only.
Thanks Radoslaw.
If we implement it via DX API in that case also we need to handle the offline things by client’s native ios/Android app?
Also, could you please share any documentation around difference between Pega Mobile Mash up /Native Pega Mobile App/Pega Mobille Client ?
Hello,
You’re correct with DX API approach your native application must handle a case when a mobile device is disconnected.
Pega Mobile Client is a mobile app that Pega will generate for you (based on your case type, views etc). It’s a preferable approach that does not require any mobile native programming skills. Mobile Mashup or DX API should be considered if you rather want to embed Pega case views into your existing mobile application. Both required deep mobile knowledge and custom mobile native code.
