We wanted to find out Pega’s recommendations on how to import an existing application into Pega BluePrint. Currently, we are using Application Document Generation to create the application documentation and import it into Pega. However, this method has some inconsistencies. We are looking for an import solution that can bring in as much data as possible.

We have an option in App Studio to export an application as a Blueprint. You can use this to export your existing application as a Blueprint file.
Once that’s done, you can create a new Blueprint at AI Workflow Builder | Pega Blueprint. While doing this, you can select the Blueprint file from your existing application as a supporting document. This should allow you to create a new Blueprint based on your existing application.

Will this feature be available in earlier versions like Pega infinity '23 ?
@GeorgeH17281400 That’s a great question. We’re currently developing ideas to make this feasible in older Pega versions. We’ll provide more details as we progress.

@ChristineFioresi ,The blueprint export worked great! It had all of the Cases and Data types imported into Blueprint. I was able to start with the current application workflows and data and go from there to add in improvements.
@SumanKumar Hi is this only available in I '25 then? I just want to clarify as I have a need to perform this export in I '23. Thank you!
