Knowing Microsoft is ending support for IE soon, and IE being the gold standard for automating web applications at the moment. Which is the best browser to move to Chrome or Edge? (Looking for some feedback from who have worked with both Edge and Chrome)
Is the level of support for both chromium browser Chrome and Edge same? Considering both are chromium based my assumption is it will be the same.
Does Pega have recommendation/preference on a specific browser over another?
@SoKaps Pega supports both. In my experience, customers are moving to Edge more so than Chrome, however I have an admittedly small sample size. They are both based on the same rendering engine, so web apps should be have the same in either. One consideration is that Pega does not currently have support yet for Edge applications running in compatibility-mode. If all of your apps are native in the browser, then either works fine with Pega Robotics. The Universal Web Adapter supports both, so it is up to the customer as to which to use.
