How to retrieve the data after Purge and archival process

Hi Everyone,

I am using Pega cloud version 8.8. I have started the Purge and archival process. I can see the Archived file getting stored in the archive/archivedclasses folder in Pegacloudfilestorage. Also able to search the Archived cases in the Case Manager portal. My questions are as below:

  1. How can I retrieve the case back to Pega after archival has been done?

  2. Archived zip has a CSV file that contains all the case data which got archived, can I import that in pega or its just for tracking purpose?

  3. When I am searching the archived case from the Case Manager portal I can see all the data on the clipboard. will it get deleted after the expunging job runs?

Please help with following questions on getting the case back after archival.

  1. A case that got archived cannot be reopened, can it be imported to the Pega environment back to Resolved status as earlier?

  2. Created a Zip file in folder

archive/archivedclasses/A-B-C-D/2023/01/31/ArchivalFile_UTIL_I_006F35140EEE485C9_2023FEBRUARY8_1005_AT7.zip

what is the use of this zip file which got created after the archival process?

  1. Archived cases will get deleted for the search as mentioned here Retrieving archived case data after 30 days.
