I have a requirement to hide default assignment view in constellation. I have followed the process mentioned in the below mentioned link, but not able to achieve the requirement.
Please find the attachment for configuration.
In Constellation, the default assignment view can be hidden by removing the assignment from the case’s visible navigation and making sure the Preview panel is not configured to show assignments. In the Preview view settings, uncheck Show assignments, save the view, and then confirm that the assignment is not included in the case wide tabs or navigation setup. After saving the case type, refresh the portal and run the case again so the updated configuration is picked up. This hides the default assignment section from the user interface.
Hey Sairohith, I uncheck the show Assignments in teh Preview but still i am seeing the Assignments in the work portal. It is not reflected in the UI. Did you achieved this in any other method ? If yes, kindly let me know.
Thanks
That checkbox is only configuration for the Preview capability. When you hover over a data/work object there is a “preview” and “open in new tab” link - preview opens a side panel with the case/data details. IF you hide assignments it won’t show in that side panel.
This question comes up a lot and as of '25 this part of the page is not configurable, neither to turn off or configure what is displayed here. I’ve seen a couple of UI experts give it a good go, trying to find ways to hide this and insert a custom DX component to replace content BUT the answer has always been its not possible in OOTB portals. IF you go custom SDK, then you have more control over the entire portal and experience, and could control this (which is a bit extreme just to hide assignments).
I know some things are coming in '26 for the the Full Case Page, hopefully to make this more configurable.
I am moving this to User Experience Expert Circle category, so it can be found with other Constellation questions.
IF you are not a member you won’t be able to respond (until you join), apologies for anyone following this from the “general” category. A quick join and you can continue to respond.
You won’t be able to hide it (I’m happy to be surprised but have seen many try and fail).
What is the reason for wanting to hide it? Maybe if we take a step back and understand the business outcome required, we might find a solution?
Even i don’t want to remove the Assignments. My business requirement is just to hide the Urgency beside the GO button in the Assignment. While i am doing trail and error on the Preview View i saw those options where it is not reflecting on the Work portal.
For instance, When a user filling an application, they don’t want to see the urgency.
A common ask, and understandable why. However, this can’t be achieved using any configuration.
I am hoping '26 introduces some more configurations on the Assignments / Task List to make it more authorable.
