Enable Confidence Scores for DocAI

This article shows how to enable Confidence Scores for the DocAI agents.

1. With an easy step you could include DocAI Connect in you case.

2. On the DocAI connect, you could add Attachment Fields and Prompt.

   

3. On ‘Confidence Scores & OCR’ tab, enable ‘Provide Confidence scores’ and 'Preprocess using OCR’

   

4. In the confidence score, you will see the property reference which stores the confidence scores.

   

5. Make sure you have enabled the Document Release Toggle

   

6. You will also need to make sure the DSS value Pega-Engine services/genai/smartchunking/servicebaseurl/default is set up to a smart chunking service. If this value is not set up, please contact Pega Support.

7. When you run this DocAI agent, the results are structured as shown in the Data Page view.

   

8. You could add these properties in a view as per your requirements.

Hi @kaspk Can you please confirm what exactly the Confidence Score represents with respect to property value extraction? Does it indicate the accuracy or confidence level of the extracted value?

Also, what value is expected to be configured in this DSS? Should it be a generic value applicable across applications, or should it be specific to each application/use case?

Hi Venkat

It is the confidence level of the extracted value and not the accuracy. DocAI service is a multi tenant service and based on your VPC, value of the DocAI service (smart chunking) is shared with you. Hope this helps.
