Use Case: Delegating a Decision Table in Constellation

Requirement: Enable business/admin users to maintain business rules through a delegated Decision Table.

Current Implementation: A Decision Table has been created to meet the business requirement.

Challenge: Need guidance on how to delegate the Decision Table and make it accessible to authorized business users in a Constellation application.

Request: Looking for the supported approach and configuration steps to enable Decision Table delegation in Constellation.

Configuration Sets!

It’s even on the warning banner inside Pega Docs for trying to bring back legacy delegation.

Configuration sets do support decision tables, just like delegated rules, you need a Prod Ruleset for business admin versions to be resolved.

The great thing about Configuration Sets, is configuring a feature doesn’t just have to be a decision table, you can add multiple configurations to a “set” so that the admin can go there to modify the entire feature (not having to fumble around multiple unlinked delegated rules)
