Data Type not Populating the GBP Symbol after a Data Import

The date type is not populating the £ sign when importing from Excel into the Data Type. The Target Field Type importing to is set to Text. Post Import it is just populating the symbol as a question mark (See Below).

If you manually edit to a £ sign it accepts it but this would take to much time to manually change the 100s of entries

It accepts the $ sign when importing just not the £ sign despite the locale being set to en_GB.

@ThomasB16969519 What is the pega version you are running?

This issue might be due to the encoding of your Excel file.

Pega might not be able to correctly interpret the £ symbol if the file is not in UTF-8 encoding. You could try saving your Excel file as a CSV file with UTF-8 encoding before importing it into Pega. If the issue persists, it might be necessary to investigate further or contact Pega Support.
