Constellation Practice Modules on Pega Academy

Hello Everyone,

I have one requirement for an app, and I choose Pega BPM tool over others as my platform to build which is available on the market as it’s very easy to learn and adopt(till now). Currently I’m stuck in this situation, What I observed is with Traditional UI I’m able to achieve code & complete one Case Life cycle within 1 week for the same Case life cycle when I tried to build on so called new View based Architecture it’s taking long time infact I’m stuck at some points because (as an example) we cannot add sections and customize refresh strategies based on action events (please correct me if I’m wrong).

Can anyone clarify me below points ??

  1. Do we have any training modules on Constellation (view based Architecture) system to build applications or gets hands on, all the material I can see on Pega Academy is based on Traditional UI.

  2. As Pega is evolving and bringing lot of changes every year, is there any chance that they will completely stop supporting Traditional UI based systems in future. And completely eliminate these Traditional UI architecture as a major release ?

I’m having a fear of If i start building my application from scratch based on Traditional UI and it’s difficult to migrate later to another Constellation system. So far these many days we practiced modules, earn knowledge on Section based UI and all of sudden if we want to build new apps on view based architecture and it’s difficult to build without having some hands on practice modules on Pega Academy? and There are only knowledge documents available on PDN to read but still it’s not sufficient for people who are coming from No coding background. Please add some trainings/modules which we can practice based on View based architecture.

@RK I carried out a Pega Academy search for Constellation.

The refresh strategy is in-built with Constellation design. We don’t need to explicitly refresh the views like we do in Traditional UI.

Before you switch over to Constellation, you have to make sure the Constellation limitations don’t have any significant impact on your requirements. Please find the details in the below link for your reference.

I can certainly help you if you can provide more information on those areas where you’re getting stuck with Constellation.
