Connect Agent Rule in Pega

Hi Team,

I’m currently working on configuring a Connect Agent rule in Pega (under Integration → Connectors) and wanted to check if anyone has implemented agent-to-agent communication before.

I’ve been trying to establish a connection between two Pega Community Edition systems over the past few days, but I’m running into issues. The connection is failing, and when I trace it, I’m seeing a runtime error indicating that it’s unable to connect to the target Pega system.

If anyone has experience setting this up or can share guidance on the correct implementation approach, I would really appreciate your support.

Hi Aswin,

I suspect either an Auth profile security configuration issue or some connectivity problem.

Could you confirm if you have enabled “External Access“ in the target agent? assuming the taget agent is a Pega Agent.

If its enabled, could you please give the full stack trace of the exception/error?

What are you using for authentication , OAuth ?

I had a similar issue. This is because that you’ve IP restrictions for community edition.
