CDH 8.6Connection With Facebook Paid Media throwing version (V12) error

Hi,

I am trying to establish the Pega Paid Media connection with Facebook. I have successfully generated the account id and token and when trying to add the destination, it is throwing an error stating- “Exception occurred while saving destination.(#2635) You are calling a deprecated version of the Ads API. Please update to the latest version: v12.0.. Kindly check the logs for more details.” I checked in Facebook for developers account and the API version is already v12.

Can someone help with this issue? We are currently using PEGA CDH 8.6.2. I am attaching the screenshots of Pega configuration.

Error details:
Caused by: com.pega.mkt.paidmedia.sync.AudienceSyncException@4d170964[paidMediaErrors=

What are the steps to reproduce the issue?

  • Steps followed: Pegasystems Documentation
    • Created Facebook account, page.
    • Created Business Manager Account
    • Created App from Facebook developer portal
  • Created facebook ad-destination for the Sandbox (dev) environment account
    • Used Facebook Sandbox Ad Account to configure PAID Media in PEGA
    • Enabled PAID Media specific configuration in CDH Portal (eg: Segment creation)
    • There is an issue in creating FB-Ad destination due to App version

Attempted solutions:

We installed the Hotfixes (HFix-81566, HFix-81567) described for PEGA CDH 8.6 at Pegasystems Documentation

  • Completed full recycle
  • Dropped & recreated the Facebook destination Account from App Studio (PAID Media ).

Hi,

The attempted solution you described should address this issue. Could you please double check the instructions and try restart all the nodes with clear cache?

Destination deletion is not required.

Thanks,

@MANNM1 , Rechecked he instructions and restarted all the nodes post clearing the cache. Same issue seen. We have created a GCS Incident INC-205468 for this issue

Above reported issue has been addressed by installing a new Hotfix for facebook-java-business-sdk version (HFIX-81567).
