Case Type creation fails when using branch

Hi,

When I try to create a new case type, by entering the name of the case type, development branch and ruleset, I get an error that says “Ruleset version—No unlocked RuleSet Version is available to create or update Rule-Obj-Class” followed by class name.

The ruleset specified does not have unlocked versions, but shouldn’t the class be created in the branch specified? Please help me resolving this.

Thanks,

Udhay

It appears to be a product bug in Pega. The system validates for an unlocked ruleset version even if a branch is specified. However no rules are ultimately created in the unlocked RSV when the case type is created.

Workaround: Have an unlocked RSV when creating the case type. Lock or delete it once done.
