Autopilot Create new data objects

Good Afternoon,

I wanted to share an open question that my team are currently working on

What are the limits of pega autopilot and where can we reccomend that autopilot is used in a Definition of Ready.

So far we’ve had some mixed results while experimenting with the tool..

So we understand from documentation that the 2 main things it can create are new case types and data objects. But when we asked autopilot what it can create for us, directly, it said it couldnt create anything for us.

We openned a new branch and asked it to create a new data type for us.

It said it couldn’t. We were confused, maybe it still cant do this we thought.

Then we tried again a few days later, also in a branch, and, it worked!

However we are geninuely unsure of why the first time failed and the second time it worked.

We are in a pega labs enviroment. Does anyone have any insight into why it might not work one day then work another? - is there a specific prompt we didnt hit ?

Thanks

It could be because of your context. In the current version 25, you must be on the Data navigation item for it to create the data object successfully. That could be the issue. In addition to creating data objects, the current version is also aware of your data objects , and when on case design your case. Therefore you can ask questions of your case. Also you can ask questions of your User Stories available via Agile Workbench. I also was able to connect to Jira and Autopilot agent is able to leverage those stories in questions. These last two example are more informational and not relative to creating. I think a great place to see where it is going in the future would be the AI Assistant in Blueprint.

Thanks Jay ! We were able to replecate that in our enviroment, we needed to be on the data landing page. We will definately be reccomending this as the default way to create data objects, although we notied, it couldn´t create some data types well, for example, it didnt create a picklist faithfully when given picklist options, instead it created the field as a text type
