What's harness and what it's used for?

Sorry that seems I raised so basic questions:

What’s harness and what it’s used for?

It’s not clearly introduced in Pega SA / SSA course, also not found in previous questions.

Thanks.

Hi @MaxonL16591286 ,

A harness organizes the structure of a portion of the user display. In Pega, you use a harness to organize either a work form or a portal. Pega applications commonly use four standard harnesses to organize the content of user forms. Supports the creation of new cases.

They are 3 types of harness that are available in pega. New, Perform and Review harness.

I hope this will helps you.

Thanks

@KamineniSurya

Thanks. Could you kindly share screen shots of some sample harnesses?

And what’s diff btw a harness and a view? Thanks.

@MaxonL16591286 The best example is this question link only . This is harness . Inside that you have a section (view) where we write a question and some one is answering to us . This all included in harness and this harness is included in a portal which call now as support.pega.com

view is a section where you organise your data . Now how do organise data?

it may have header , footer or body (center). In this structure you have to organise data as view/section.

in 8.7 cosomos react we organise data in views and themes cosines we organise data as sections also called views in app studio

@SatishS84

Thanks.

However I still want to take a look at how harness look like inside Pega.

Also, they are 3 types of harness that are available in pega, can share screen shot of samples?

Thanks.
