“If Traditional UI works so well, why does Constellation exist?”
That’s the question behind my latest video.
Many organizations have invested heavily in UIKit and Theme Cosmos (which we refer to as Traditional UI), with applications that continue to deliver value. But the conversation isn’t really about replacing a UI framework. It’s about preparing for a world where AI, automation, and agents are fundamentally changing how applications are built and used.
In this video, I share a different way to think about Constellation: How user expectations have evolved Why modern architecture matters more than visual design alone How Constellation enables AI-native and agent-powered experiences Why this is bigger than a UI modernization effort
Constellation is not just a new look and feel (and it’s been around for years now). It’s part of Pega’s strategy for building the next generation of enterprise applications.
Nguyen, great video, thank you so much for sharing! Agree with you a 100% - Constellation delivers tremendous value in terms of UX, speed of development and modern adoptable architecture! And I think there is a consensus that all new applications should be built on Constellation, but I think where people struggle is migration - how to best migrate your existing Pega apps to Constellation. Your suggested approach makes perfect sense - do it gradually, using co-existence and focusing on the high value journeys first. Maybe you can cover this in more detail in one of your future videos? Thanks!!
