User experience issue during time change in date time control

Hi Team,

1.We are using a date time control.

2.User is selecting a date first for example: Aug 10

3.Then user is selecting time as 11 AM

4.User now wants to change the time to 11.30 AM

5.User changed time to 11.30 AM by changing in the time dropdown

6.But, inorder to see the date of Aug 10 with the latest time 11.30 AM,user needs to re select the date Aug 10 again which the user is not happy with. User is expecting that after changing time, latest date time and time should be applied automatically using tab out or using an apply button but user is not having apply button as well

7.User is having this usability issue and is expecting a resolution as it has been really a pain point for the user to reselect the data agin after changing time

  1. We found similar query/feedback request from other customers on community and we have observed that a feedback request has been created but we are unable to see the details of the feedback request as it shows “access denied”

9.could you please share the update on feedback request as we are expecting the solution on priority?

Date-time picker improvement - when changing only time value

FDBK-62570 (Enhancement to Date-time picker - when changing only time value) is not yet integrated into the product.

We used third party library to display date time popup. If we want to made changes to only time, we can manually enter using keyboard. which is more easier step than open date time popover and select time. We can fix this by adding one apply button / click out side field to close the popup. But in that case also, same number of steps we required to change the time.
This required design decisions and also good effort to implement the third party library. Engineering solutoin would be to handle this case in Cosmos date time as our focus is to deliver best user experience in Constellation applications.
