URL Label Display Issues

In 8.7.6 Constellation, We would like to display the URL Label instead of data: URL (refer attached screenshot). Is there any OOB way to achieve this ?

Just checking, Is this issue resolved in Pega 25.1? If so, how do we achieve it?

@Kamil Janeczek @MarcCheong - Appreciate any inputs in this regard. Also curious to know, why this type of fundamental business use case becomes tricky to configure via Constellation architecture.

@KrishnaHCC 8.7? It’s time to update your version!

I don’t want to speak ill of our past versions but 8.7 was right on the cusp of Constellation being “ready”.

  • 8.6 we had early adopter version, 8.7 was a “consider” and 8.8 was when it was recommended - though for me, '23 was my personal opinion on it being recommended.

Generic version commentary aside, we have made vast improvements on URL capabilities since those early days, based on feedback of those early adopters. '23, '24 and '25 have continued to build on and improve here.

I just logged into my '25 version and can see what you are after.

I can’t even see an 8.7 docs for this but i can see in 8.8 docs is does mention URL labels. So you can see from this doc and the versions this evolve over time.

@KrishnaHCC

You can use this option to display url with label and when user clicks , it will open the url or download the csv file in your scenario

@MarcCheong Thanks for your detailed response and much appreciated.
