Hi ,
As per the platform 24.1.* docs, Pega platform should ship Kafka version with 3.9.0, but when I verify in the stream node which is running in the kubernetes all I can see is /usr/local/tomcat/kafka-1.1.0.10?
In Pega Platform 24.1.3, Kafka version 3.9.0 refers to the Kafka client library, not necessarily the embedded Kafka broker version. The folder /usr/local/tomcat/kafka-1.1.0.10 does not confirm the Kafka client version. Pega has deprecated embedded Kafka and recommends using an external Kafka service.
To resolve this, configure a supported external Kafka cluster instead of manually upgrading Kafka JAR files inside the Pega container. Update the Pega Helm chart’s values.yaml file with the external Kafka bootstrap server details. Remove the embedded Stream tier configuration and deploy the updated Helm chart. After deployment, navigate to Dev Studio > Configure > Decisioning > Infrastructure > Services > Stream. Verify that the Stream service status is NORMAL to confirm the external Kafka connection is working correctly
