Unable to read data from excel sheet when file type is .xls in pega 8.6

I tried using ootb activity pxParseExcelFile.It works of .xlsx format files but when i try using .xls file it is not working.

@DadiM827 I provided a response in your post OOTB activity pxParseExcelFile and MSOPaseExcelFile.It works of .xlsx format but not for xls that you logged today.

Please check the documentation which states only .csv and .xlsx is supported.
