Unable to query VBD: Response content has an unknown format

Hi,

Greetings. Hope you are well! I am trying to access VBD landing page and i see the error as

Unable to query VBD: Response content has an unknown format

Any ideas on what might have been causing this exception or how to debug this?

I am on Pega 8.8 ocp deployment with Pega CDH 8.8

@KOMARINA this seems like it could be a bug within our feature.

Could you please raise a ticket with all the relevant information so we take this further ?

So far it seems like the VBD server is responding with a response which can’t be properly handled by the client since it’s not in the expected format.

To debug it further we would need to enable logging on the server side to give us information regarding request / response between client / server
After enabling such logging and restarting the VBD server node(s) we would need to capture log from those.

Issue primary reason description:
backport of VBD rest service improvements from 23.x into 8.8

Explanation description:
Apply HFIX-B900

The full fix already exists in ‘23 as this was a Backport of Infinity’ 23 improvements to VBD performance
