Unable to launch action set for custom control

Hi,

I have to mask the date control to prevent the user from entering an incorrect value in the text field. Here is the custom control code[attached as doc], which will retrieve the value from the clipboard and save it to the clipboard if the value changes but the custom control does not trigger the action set.
