We have initiated our Pega application build with Constellation design system. But it looks like there are limitations and we cannot deliver some of the client requirements.
i.e. delegate a data type, customize dashboard layouts, limited branding options, limited ability to change label positions, spacings, or alignment, etc.
I’d like to know whether we can switch back to Theme-Cosmos and how easily we can do it?
We have potential solutions for the limitations that you called out. We highly recommend to build any new applications in Constellation because it adopts mordern web standards, single page architecture, faster development and performance is much better and several other benefits.
Could you please share the Pega version you’re currently using for your Constellation application?
We’ve introduced major enhancements in Infinity '25, including Theming, Dynamic Dashboard layouts, and several other improvements.
Understanding your current version will help us assess whether the limitations or challenges you mentioned can be resolved through an upgrade.

Any Constellation-specific views and configurations will need to be rebuilt as sections/harnesses (and retested), and your branding will move back to Cosmos theming. The easiest path is to create a new Cosmos UI channel, migrate screens step-by-step, and validate integrations and accessibility as you go
