We’re using pxAddMesssage to show the errors received from Integrations for Data Reference Properties. I haven’t tested for Search and Select in particular, however it should work I believe.
pxAddMessage is working for search and select except one extra error message is always appearing as per documention that is product issue that will be hadled in 26 version.
Same approach is not working in customer service application is there any alternative to show validation/API error responses in customer service interaction case?
Hello @bhaskarasivakrisp
I suppose, your use case is to display the API error messages when you use search functionality available in Constellation CS framework. Please correct me if the scenario is different.
If the use case is same as i mentioned above, then, we are using the CSFS Constellation framework with the out-of-the-box Advanced Search component for the customer search screen in the Interaction case. At present, we are unable to display search validations or error messages directly on this screen.
It appears that the capability to configure and display such error messages will be introduced starting from maybe 25 or so.
As a temporary workaround, for each search operation, we persist any error messages in a dedicated data type. A checkbox is provided on the UI to allow users to view additional information. When selected, the corresponding error message is retrieved and displayed for the specific interaction case, using the form refresh setting on the checkbox.
Thanks
Naganand
Have you seen Custom Form Validation for Search and Select ?
There are a few other Search and Select topics in our Constellation 101 that are related, but don’t answer this (might be helpful if you are diving into this interaction pattern).
@bhaskarasivakrisp are you in the User Experience Expert Circle? I would like to move this under that area, so it can be found with other Constellation questions. However, if you are not a member you won’t be able to respond (until you join), so don’t want to just move on you.
Please let me know if you join and i’ll move.
