Rule Reference changes on Pega 7.2 post Flash phase out

Chrome will stop supporting Flash post December 2020. And Referencing rule widget depends on that. I got from another post “The referencing rule widget using auto-generated UI will be available on Pega Exchange for Pega 7.3 and higher. It will not work on Pega 6.x or version lower than Pega 7.3, because it uses some functionality that is not available in these older releases.”

We are currently on 7.2 version. What changes should we do to still search references after December.

This Pega Community article should provide all the details

Hi Richard,

Thanks for the article. I know what to do with List Views and Summary Views. But I’m not clear on the Rule Referencing part. It says to upgrade to higher version of Pega, which is currently not feasible for us. One way I see is switching to IE whenever developer needs to find the dependent rules. Can you please mention anything else that can be done?

Much thanks

Aparna

rule referencing is not critical for maintaining a production application - this is purely a developer functionality - same information can be found using content search in Designer Studio - you can also use an older browser like IE11 and not install some of the Microsoft update that will uninstall the flash player.
